Job Description:/h3:
Travel Required: Approx 50:60 overnight per year (36:41 weeks)
Recommended Education Requirements:
:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical
:Bachelor of Science in Automation or Equivalent
Recommended Skills
:Exposure to and understanding of a manufacturing environment
:Exposure to machine repair (mechanical and electrical)
:Solid understanding of electro:mechanical systems
:PLC Programming experience with Allen:Bradley RS Logix 500 and RS Logix 5000
:PLC Programming experience with Siemens S7
:Set:up and programming of AB Powerflex Drives
:Set:up and programming of Siemens 611 and S120 Drives
:Complete understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and set:up and commissioning of PCs
:Thorough understanding of networking and network communications
Training will be provided on
:Operation and troubleshooting of equipment to be serviced
:Machine control architecture and programming software
:Set:up and commissioning of equipment
Job Purpose:
:Provide on:site customer support for equipment installations and start:ups.
:Provide on:site customer support for troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment evaluations.
:Provide in:house support for equipment set:up, testing, customer acceptance, and training
:Provide in:house phone support for customers and service technicians.
:Install equipment at customer facility, complete electrical and mechanical installations, commission equipment.
:Provide customer training on proper use of equipment.
:Provide after sales service (on:site and phone support). Electrical and controls troubleshooting and repair.
:Provide after sales service (on:site and phone support) for mechanical troubleshooting
:When not traveling provide electrical and mechanical technical phone support to customers.
:When not traveling provide engineering support to engineering department.
:Assist with in:house customer equipment qualifications.
Work Schedule:
:40 Hours per week at hourly rate, 1 1/2 hourly rate over 40 hrs/week.
:Travel paid per Bruderer hourly policy when exceeding 9 hours per weekday.
:First choice for customer phone support (when in:house)
:Reports to Chief Engineer
