If you have a passion for the retail industry and interested in working with leadership on real projects, you"ll find that ToysRUs can offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity in which to spend your summer internship.The program will place you on a team based on a combination of available projects, business needs, and your preferred area of interest. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to gain professional skills, work with dedicated mentors, and interact with cross-functional partners. The program is available for Sophomores and Juniors for 10 weeks beginning and June 2017.Our Program at a Glance10 week assignment with a selected line of business that combines learning with skill development through practical work.Learning sessions that will focus on professional skills training.Career development and networking support from our leaders, including mentors, executive sponsors, and a dedicated program manager.Internship Experience Summary:The primary responsibilities of the Real Estate Accounting Intern are to:Assist with monthly general ledger close as it relates to the Company"s leasesProvide assistance with special projects and Ad Hoc requests related to lease accounting, analysis, and other department reporting requirementsRead leases and update lease amortization schedules and expense forecasts based on amendments and changes to leasesPossible technical accounting research as it relates to Company"s leasesAssist real estate staff accountants in responding to landlord questions and reviewing common area maintenance billings from landlordsAnalyze and reconcile common area expenses to the GLRequirementsCompletion of Sophomore or Junior year, working towards a Bachelor"s degreeGPA of 3.0 or higherAuthorized to work in the U.S. without the need for future sponsorshipAbility to commute daily to our Wayne, NJ campus which is not accessible by public transportationWe do not provide housing or transportationToys"R"Us is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment or discrimination.
