National property management and development company is looking for talented staff. Founded in the 1980s, we are a growing company and have developed and acquired more than 350,000,000 of multifamily and retail properties. We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Facilities / Operations Manager to manage the physical assets of a portfolio of shopping centers and office buildings in New Jersey. This dynamic person will increase shareholder value and tenant satisfaction by controlling the facilities operations of the portfolio and by overseeing all new projects. This position reports to the Regional Asset Manager.
Responsibilities:
:Provides portfolio wide leadership in the planning, development and implementation of maintenance, construction and modification of all facilities and systems
:Manage all aspects of maintenance of property facilities including the oversight of preventative maintenance programs
:Supports project management activities and works with internal and external suppliers. Supports purchasing activities for in:scope projects
:Serves as the primary technical contact with outside engineering consultants
:Ensures the accessibility and accuracy of existing blueprints, plans, drawings and specifications for projects and new equipment
:Maintain a system of records of completed projects and maintenance for reporting purposes
:Prepare bid specs and assist in the negotiation of vendor contracts
:Oversee the management of inventory and purchasing systems
:Prepare operating reports
:Ensure that property operations are compliant with regulatory requirements
:Oversee program to manage property utilities
Requirements:
:Have a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm for the industry
:Candidates should possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a facilities management environment with five (5) years experience in project management and oversight of facility teams
:Ability to identify operational issues and resolve issues in a decisive and timely manner
:Working knowledge of building systems
:Strong leader and communicator that can motivate team members
:Excellent verbal and written communication skills
:Bachelors degree
:Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and knowledge of project management software
