New Jersey Urology, LLC (NJU) is one of the largest urology groups in the nation with offices across 7 counties in Northern New Jersey. We are currently seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant (PA) to work in our Clifton and Wayne, NJ offices. This position requires experience as a PA, however, the Urology specific tasks/skills may be taught on the job. The PA will practice medicine under the supervision of a NJU Urologist, working independently upon completion of training. This position will require only office work/patient visits and no procedures.

The major areas of responsibility are:
Maintain and exhibit the philosophy and objectives of New Jersey Urology, LLC.
Maintain involvement in Quality Assurance, Infection Control Programs and Risk/Safety Management.
PA's function as members of the health care team:
Collecting and analyzing pertinent medical history data,
Examining and treating patients,
Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays;
Making diagnoses, in collaboration with Supervising Physician.
When working independently, the PA must confer with the supervising physician as needed and as required by law.
Establish and maintain open communication with appropriate departments and other NJU offices.
Accurately and efficiently document patient data and notes in Electronic Medical Record system.
Maintain patient confidentiality during all activities.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Recognize the different cognitive, physical, developmental and emotional needs of pediatric, school aged, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Must have graduated from an accredited, formal Physician Assistant program and have an active license to practice as a PA in the State of New Jersey.
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the healthcare field as a nurse or other healthcare professional.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and ability to utilize Electronic Medical Record system.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Ability to work well in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members.

PA's practice medicine in a comfortable, well-lighted environment without excessive noise.
Position requires standing for long periods and a considerable amount of walking.
The work week will be flexible but ideally part time including Saturdays from 9 am to 1pm.
