The Director, Operations Lead articulates the specific goals and objectives of the program and how it will impact the business. He/ She maps out and defines the deliverables to be completed and milestones to be achieved to reach the overall goal. They focus on strategic orchestration of the program and implementation, and how to delegate the project responsibilities appropriately. The Operations Lead works under the direction of the Business Lead and in collaboration with the Digital Product Owner to drive performance and delivery across the solution/application delivery team, setting up and shaping the program including the governance frameworks. The Operations Lead ensures coordinated and consistent communication of progress, risks, issues and improvement opportunities to all levels of leadership and to key stakeholders. He/ She is accountable for achieving project objectives and focuses on leading the operational elements of the project such as meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and completing deliverables by coordinating time, budget, and resources.
The Director, Operations Lead will:
â¢ Lead the coordination of all project objectives, activities and facilitate communication across the program, including management and optimization of the governance framework to ensure appropriate stakeholders and communications are properly included.
â¢ Drive the program team to progress against the Program plan, while tracking risks, developing mitigation plans and escalating to Program leadership, when necessary. Oversee all components of the budget, resourcing and timelines across product development and run states.
â¢ Manages relationship with Business Lead, Digital Product Owner & Leadership teams, including communication of program status and completion of critical milestones.
â¢ Make strategic recommendations on resource alignment/dedication as well as on prioritization (people resources, dollars/funding, project criticality) and communicates rationale back to the Program Leadership. Act as a lead within the strategic planning process and long term product development and run state resourcing and planning, inclusive of budget and timeline development.
â¢ Anticipate business needs to influence the development of solutions; maneuvering through a matrixed set of relationships, influencing direction and receiving input from various stakeholders. Lead the formulation of innovative ideas and solutions on products, processes, and systems.
â¢ A minimum of a Bachelorâs Degree is required; a minor in Business, Systems, Technology or related field is preferred. A Masterâs Degree and/or certification in Six Sigma Black and/or Green Belt is preferred.
â¢ A minimum of 10 years of overall experience with 8 years of business experience in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques is required.
â¢ Experience managing deliverables and milestones (on time/within budget/meeting business needs) is required.
â¢ Experience with Marketing software products is preferred.
â¢ Experience with the Agile development process is preferred.
â¢ Experience supporting a Shared Services environment and service center technologies is preferred.
â¢ Prior experience as Product Owner, Scrum master or Program Management for software products is preferred.
â¢ Must have a solid understanding of portfolio principles and the ability to apply them to justify budgets, prioritization and business planning.
â¢ Must have strong ability to gain influence and respect of stakeholders and management, manage teams/projects and bring them to success and be strategic in approach (understands and addresses inter-dependencies and real issues).
â¢ Ability to set objectives, monitor and achieve for performance, and ensure high level of engagement and commitment is required.
â¢ Must be highly self-motivated with ability to direct, lead, and motivate self and others.
â¢ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to interact across all organizational levels are required.
â¢ Must be able to travel 20% of the time to domestic destinations.
