Job Description:/h3:
Provide project leadership and support on key communications initiatives for the US communications team by collaborating with Global and US communicators to pull through global communications initiatives as well as facilitate US internal and external communications projects across the enterprise. Plays a strong supporting role to US Communications Country head across the disciplines.
*Communications Support : Support communications projects and programs as assigned to pull through priority internal and external communications strategies and initiatives.
*Team Effectiveness : Lead planning and measurement initiatives to support building team across the US, allocating resources, defining processes and building new capabilities as needed to support business objectives.
*Project Management : Partner with US Communications team to ensure strong collaboration and resource allocation against business priorities. Identify ongoing opportunities for new approaches and improvements. Seek to bring simplicity to cross divisional communications.
*Performance Management : Partner with key stakeholders across organization to measure outputs and outcomes linked to finance and operational metrics. Leverage metrics across organization to demonstrate department value.
*Budget/Resource Management : Partner with finance and VP Communications and Patient Relations to manage department budget and identify opportunities to generate cost efficiencies and savings. Oversee external contractors and agency relationships to ensure optimal performance.
*Global
Collaboration/Alignment: Understand the global Novartis organization and stakeholders that are of importance to the company and department. Build strong, collaborative relationships to enable effective strategy planning and implementation.
*Member of US Communications and Patient Relations Team : Co:develop and own overall strategy of Communications and Patient Relations department as member of High Performing team. Share responsibility for departmental impact on business objectives.
Minimum requirements:
*Bachelors or equivalent 4:Year university degree required. Concentration communications, public relations, marketing, social/digital media or related discipline preferred.
*Fluent English, other languages desirable
*8 : 10 Years experience in communications or related field with strong emphasis on external and internal communications, reputation management and social/digital communications or marketing
*Strong matrix management and influencing skills to manage complex, multiple issues and projects
*Business/Finance acumen : experience in evaluating investments and managing budgets
*Relationship management : demonstrated ability to build trust in all stakeholders and influence decision making across business
*Experience in managing agency relationships and contracts
*Comfortable with ambiguity
*Strategic planning and complex program management
*Outstanding written and verbal communications
*Outstanding project management and resource management skills
*Ability to prioritize and maximize limited resources to achieve goals
