General Description- Answer a high volume of patient calls in a professional manner
+ Interact with patients, office managers, and other staff
+ Interact with outside sources i.e patients, care centers, insurance companies etc
+ Interact via meetings with manager to obtain and/or share information this will help the department better understand why patients are receiving bills, either correctly or incorrectly
+ Report trends
+ Ensures that the policies, procedures, and protocols are followed to support the mission of the Call Center
+ Answer questions from patients regarding statement/patient liability and/or redirect questions to appropriate staff
+ Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management
+ High School Diploma required
+ At least 2 years of medical billing/call center experience
+ Knowledge of English grammar and spelling
+ Knowledge of medical insurance, eob's, customer service
+ Basic use of computer programs and applications, such as Excel and Word
+ Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize, and organize work
