Job Summary 13;
Participates in a planned research project by performing research protocols. Works independently and self:directed while providing supervision and technical training to subordinates. Needs a specialized education in the biological or chemical sciences and is required to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in execution, interpretation of experiments, and of data derived.
Job Responsibilities 13;
:Independently performs advanced, complex research procedures on experimental samples
:Formulates and performs lab experiments, analyzes results, interpretation of methodology and reports the data and maintains appropriate log books and lab notebook
:Modifies methods and protocols as required with minimum direction form the Investigator / Sr. Scientist
:Assists in development and troubleshooting of new techniques and ideas
:Prepares laboratory reagents, monitors and maintains laboratory inventory
:Supervises, trains and mentors Jr. and new staff members
:Determines work assignments, schedules and laboratory priorities
:Presents and discusses work at weekly lab meetings and national symposia
:Assists in writing of grants, journal articles, poster and oral presentations 13;

:Bachelors degree
:Minimum 2 years relevant laboratory experience beyond classroom / internship(s) required.
:12 : 24 months advanced laboratory experience 13;
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
Prior experience as a lead technician or supervisor preferred
Additional Technical Requirements 13;
