Job Summary 13;
Seeking full:time Clinical Fellow in speech:language pathology. Provide speech and language services to a varied population of children with developmental, neurological, and medically based communication disorders, including specific time dedicated to the inpatient population. Consult with medical and education personnel. Provide education and instruction to patients, families, health care professionals, students, and the community.
The Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program is a federally funded inter:professional training program. Trainees in multiple disciplines work under the direction of LEND faculty in the following activities designed to enhance leadership skills relevant to maternal child health and the care of individuals with disabilities.
:The trainee will regularly attend and participate in LEND inter:professional leadership classes and trainings.
:The trainee will participate in an inter:professional mentored scholarly research project and will contribute directly to the overall research goals of the project.
:The trainee will participate in an inter:professional mentored project in collaboration with a community care provider that is designed to improve the community health infrastructure.
:The trainee will participate in other LEND activities as required including a family collaboration activity, an advocacy activity, and an autism training activity. 13;

:Actively participates in classes and inter:professional groups to complete LEND activities
:Trainees will contribute knowledge of their professional discipline to enhance all of the above LEND activities and educate the inter:professional group participating in LEND
:Assist in planning projects, classes and activities.
:Enhance the professional growth and development of trainees with less experience or training related to skills needed to implement activities or projects
:Participate in program evaluation and program improvement activities 13;
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations 13;
Required Education and Experience 13;
Bachelors related to a professional discipline that provides healthcare or services for children with or at:risk for developmental disabilities and/or their families.
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
Enrolled in a Masters, Doctoral, or Post:Doctoral training program that provides healthcare or services for children with or at:risk for developmental disabilities and/or their families
Additional Technical Requirements 13;
:Experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or their families (preferred)
:Experience working with families of diverse backgrounds (preferred)
:Ability to communicate well with others
:Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask 13;
