Job Summary 13;
Manages Clinical research program. Responsibilities include direct management of multi:center projects, budget preparation and revision; grant management, preparation and submission of quarterly reports, manuscripts for publication, and research:related administrative support. Provide research:oriented administrative support for a group of research investigators. Coordinate seminars, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements and otherwise provide broad support for investigators in carrying out the administrative aspects of their research program. Serve as an information
conduit between Research Administration and investigators, sharing information and collecting and submitting materials as requested.
Job Responsibilities 13;
1. Coordinate multi:center clinical research projects.
:Coordinates relevant clinical studies related to clinical research/clinical trials.
:Coordinate activities with investigators and research coordinators at CHOP
:Organize and assist with preparation of grants to include budgets, renewals, etc.,
:Prepare other new research applications as requested by clinical investigators
Provide research:oriented administrative support for clinical research principal investigators.
Attend meetings as needed to keep current with all the relevant policies, guidelines.
:Set up and coordinate conference calls.
:Schedule and coordinate seminars and meetings.
:Make travel arrangements.
:Prepare correspondence and other materials.
:Photocopy and file grant:related paperwork.
:Prepare Power Point presentations and other materials for retreats, seminars, meetings, conferences, including scanning slides, etc.
:Maintain computer files; problem:solve; arrange for repairs, updates.
:Monitor phone and messages.
:Maintain calendar and email.
3. Organize, monitor and assist with review, editing and submission of manuscripts, articles, and other publications as well as preparation for presentations at scientific meetings.
:Prepare manuscripts for submission.
:Track and prepare journal reviews, articles.
:Organize and prepare bibliographies.
:Review galleys and proofs for final submission.

:Communicate with NIH during preparation of grants to ensure that current guidelines are being adhered to.
:Serve as liaison between Research Administration, colleagues.
:Collect, organize, monitor and distribute information.
:Collect, organize and submit materials as necessary.
:Interface with Fellows involved in clinical research.
:Work with Research Administration on budgets for grants.
:Assist with ordering of materials for grants and office supplies. 13;

Required Education and Experience 13;
:Experience in grant writing and/or grants management and coordination (medical school and NIH a plus).
:Experience in financial management, including budget preparation and management (hospital/medical school a plus).
:Experience in staff management, supervision and coordination.
:Experience in resource management.
:Experience in project management and coordination.
:Experience in publishing, writing and editing, including manuscript preparation, galleys, proofs, etc. 13;
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
Masters degree preferred : or equivalent practical experience through five or more years of administrative experience in a hospital or academic institution.
Additional Technical Requirements 13;
:Understanding/working knowledge of research, research protocols, etc.
:Excellent organizational skills and detail/deadline:oriented. Strong initiative and follow:through.
