Job Summary 13;
The Facilities Planning Team Leader/Manager is responsible for the management of all facilities:related planning projects including master facility planning, new construction projects planning, renovation projects planning and overall space management. The Facilities Planning Team Leader/Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all planning services related to capital projects and regulatory compliance programs at the main campus and all off:site and satellite locations. The Facilities Planning Team Leader/Manager oversees and manages the work of the Facilities Planning and Design Group on all CHOP projects including highly complex major capital and multiple, concurrent planning projects of various sizes.
Job Responsibilities 13;
:Independently responsible for the overall management of the planning and conceptual design phase of multiple, concurrent large complex and medium size projects of major scope and importance to meet CHOP project goals and objectives.
:Oversees and manages all work of the assigned Facilities Planning and Design Group. Establishes policies and procedures and recommendations to the Facilities Planning and Design Group that are recognized as authoritative and have a far reaching impact on space management and related activities at CHOP.
:Responsible for supervision of facility planners and external consultants in all phases of planning projects. Monitors and coordinates the activities of all Consultants on assigned projects; including highly complex major capital related planning projects and multiple, concurrent projects of various sizes. Directs project management staff to meet CHOP capital project goals and objectives.:/h4:
:Develops and insures an adequate organizational structure to maintain project management services and meet organizational demands.
:Regularly communicates with staff to disseminate information, discuss issues and seek staff feedback.
:Works with Project Management to develop overall detailed total project budgets for large, highly complex projects including costs for construction, design fees, furniture and equipment, I.S., Communications infrastructure costs, and all other miscellaneous costs.
:Develops and solicits Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) from architectural and engineering consultants to seek qualified firms to perform project planning work at CHOP and to maintain a level of competition.:/h4:
:Develops planning diagrams and reports for large and medium concurrent, complex projects. 13;

Required Education and Experience 13;
Registered Architect or Interior Designer or equivalent related experience
Required Education: B.S. Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Required Experience: Minimum of fifteen: (15) years progressive experience in the design/management of large, highly complex Healthcare or similar renovation/construction projects
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
