Goal of the position
Promote and sell Halfen products in an assigned regional territory. Grow profitable revenue by meeting or exceeding annual sales and gross margin targets for the constructions sales group.
Main responsibilities
:
Develop an in:depth understanding of the features and benefits of Halfen products to maximize the product exposure and build the brand within the commercial design community.
:
Promote Halfen products for existing and new product applications to architects, engineers, design build firms, consultants, public authorities and contractors.
:
Obtain product specification during schematic design stage.
:
Develop and maintain an updated database of clients, engineers, architects, project leads, project quotes, project status updates and competitor impacts in assigned territory relative to the promotion and specification of Halfen products.
:
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with existing and new customer base.
:
Provide post:sale project support to confirm delivery schedules, ensure proper application of products, facilitate support of construction related impacts to product use, and to build long:term business relationships
:
Make consistently good scheduling decisions regarding customer and project site visits throughout assigned territory.
:
Make efficient use of time and resources.
:
Work as a team member with all coworkers in sales, technical support, customer service and production with focus on achieving overall company goals.
:
Communicate effectively with the Halfen regional technical representatives, in:house engineering and customer service departments.
:
Provide updated sales activities in company CRM program on a weekly basis.
:
Submit monthly report to management.
:
Assist the sales manager in the planning, forecasting and management of the sales territory.
:
Actively participate in technical seminars and conferences for engineers and architects
:
Provide formal presentations to architects, engineers and contractors to promote and educate on the use and benefits of Halfen products.
:
Effectively communicate with clients regarding design requirements and times lines, product lead times and contract terms and conditions.
:
Make use of the company provided lead search program to find new product and project leads and to research engineers, architects and contractors within assign sales territory.
Function requirements (e.g. education, specific competences, experiences)
:
Building trade technical school, Bachelor of Science degree and/or 5 years' experience in the building construction industry.
:
A comprehensive understanding of building plans, specifications and the commercial bidding process.
:
Experience in forecasting and meeting sales goals.
:
Must have skills in prospecting, managing client relationships, negotiating and order closing.
:
Must be able to communicate professionally with both written and oral methods such as email, reporting, phone calls and making professional group presentations.
:
Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
:
Up to 50 travel within an assigned region for optimal market coverage.
