Job Description
Summary:

● At senior management request, uses audit and consulting expertise to perform high level audits and client interaction and consulting in several areas as needed in support of the day-to-day operations of internal audit functions.

Essential Functions:
● Ensure that all internal audit work product is being delivered to clients in an effective and timely manner and within budgeted hours.
● Manage audit staff; determine resources for engagements in terms of skillset and availability; participate in hiring, performance appraisal, promotion and disciplinary decisions
● Maintain and modify standards for work papers throughout the firm as necessary.
● Understand Firm’s methodology for developing client specific annual risk audit plans and ensure that they are being prepared appropriately and timely.
● Continuously collaborate with the Firm’s quality control unit to optimize the quality of the internal audit function.
● Review audit reports prior to final issuance to the client, to ensure continuity between report rating and reported issues.
● Create and manage professional working relationships with client staff.
● Manage audit training requirements for new hires and ongoing training for experienced audit team members.
● Create new and enhance existing audit programs and services, as applicable, through collaboration with the Firm’s subject matter experts.
● Attend audit committee meetings and business development events as needed.

Education, Skills, and Experience Required:
● BS/BA in business, finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
● Minimum of ten (10) years of professional audit experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, including management of all phases of the audit process
● Must be CAM certified
● Professional license or certification such as CPA, CMA, CIA preferred
● Strong computer and analytical skills
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office technology
● Must be "hands-on", extremely organized and able to multitask
● Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
● Strong work ethic and adaptable to a variety of work environments
● Supervises a team

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear. Frequently is required to stand and walk, and may need to use stairs, escalators, and elevators. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Frequent local travel to client locations in the NY/NJ/PA region via automobile or public transportation

Some overnight travel may be required

Adherence to the Firm’s dress code, ensuring that personal appearance and conduct are always consistent with a professional image
