The Field Accounting Specialist is responsible for branch back-office activities which may include, but is not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, HR & Payroll, Inventory, Job Schedule Maintenance and General Office Support.

Essential Functions:

Accounts Payable

Purchase order preparation and receiver input
Reconciliation of purchasing card transactions

Inventory & Job Scheduling

Provide inventory count support and ensure proper controls are in place
Input material usage entries
Review, and analyze job schedules for accuracy and completeness, making changes/updates as necessary
Analyze job profitability and report positive/negative trends

Human Resources & Payroll

Human Resources administration including, benefits administration, new hires, employee changes, workers compensation, substance abuse testing, Motor Vehicle Reports, E-Verify, etc.
Time journal entries
Job journal entries

Accounts Receivable

Customer invoicing, credit memos and monthly customer statements
Credit & collections, reference checks and obtain liens, as appropriate

General Office Support and Scheduling

May answer, respond and direct all telephone calls
May order office supplies, files and performs other administrative/clerical duties as assigned or needed
May assist in maintaining scheduling and customer information
Special project or duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:

Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum three (3) years related experience in accounting, payroll or office management
Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems
Demonstrated Payroll experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
